August 23, 2010 Assignment 1: New Friends Due: September 8

First day of school is an exciting time to make new friends.  Find 5 people you don’t know and get permission to take over 200 photos of each of them individually.  Each photo should be different.  As you take the photos get to know the subject and their personalities and react to them visually.  Be sure to record their full name and email address.

Come to class with:

  • More than 1000 photographs on your camera or hard drive
  • An external harddrive (250GB or more)
  • A flickr pro account
  • A lynda.com account
  • A blog site: wordpress, tumblr, blogger
  • A camera
  • A Sketchbook
